Located right next to the iconic Victoria Harbour, the view was impeccable. Environment gave a luxurious vibe with a modern Chinese-style featuring a heavy use of grey tones and marble stones. Staff was professional, knowledgeable and attentive. They explained menu items in detail before ordering and when serving dishes, leaving customers feeling valued in every moment. They suggested ordering a half portion seeing that we might have ordered more than we could eat, so that we could try as many dishes as possible. Food was not impressive and you can have definitely tastier Cantonese dishes in cheaper eateries but I guess a lot of the price went to the presentation, the environment, and the service. Overall, I'd say it's worth it.

I only had 2 days and 1 night in Hong Kong, and I chose to spend my one precious dinner at Lai Ching Heen, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant — and it was one of the best decisions I made on this trip. Although I had made a reservation for 6:30 PM, I unfortunately arrived quite late at 8:00 PM due to unexpected delays and heavy rain. I was worried they might not be able to accommodate me anymore. However, the moment I arrived and apologized, the staff welcomed me warmly. The hostess even thanked me sincerely for still coming, and kindly gave me a lovely table. That small gesture already touched my heart. Mr. Thomas, a staff member, recommended a wine — Chambolle-Musigny — and it was absolutely perfect. He described it as elegant, aromatic, reasonably priced, and full of character — and he was absolutely right. It also happens to be my favorite grape variety. His knowledge and recommendation were spot on. The overall service was exceptional. Every staff member was polite, cheerful, and attentive. Whether I asked for more ice or extra sauce, they were more than happy to assist. Mr. Neo took great care of me throughout the evening, making sure I was comfortable and enjoying my experience. As for the food — it was incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. But the one that stood out the most was the roast suckling pig. I’ve had this dish many times elsewhere, but this was by far the best version I’ve ever tasted. To make the experience even more special, the staff took a photo of me and turned it into a lovely souvenir card for me to keep. And when I went to the restroom, a gentleman — possibly the manager — kindly walked me all the way to the door. That level of hospitality was beyond anything I expected. Dining at Lai Ching Heen was not just a meal — it was a genuinely heartfelt experience. Every detail, from the service to the food to the small thoughtful gestures, was flawless. They truly deserve their two Michelin stars. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my one night in Hong Kong.

An amazing experience. The food was excellent. However the customer service is at another level. A staff member overheard me cheering my husband fur his birthday. A lovely cake and care was presented. Thank you for a making such a memorable experience.

I’m not a fan of how the restaurant doesn’t offer a nice harbour view table for hotel guests, but overall, the service is good. The food meets expectations, and I really like the presentation. The speed at which the food arrives is impressive — it’s clear the team is carefully monitoring the pace to ensure everything is served efficiently without interrupting the flow of the meal.

This is my first time dining at Lai Ching Heen (Yan Toh Heen) . Entering the restaurant from the hotel lobby felt like walking through an art gallery—it was exceptionally elegant. We had reserved a table by the window facing the convention center, with an embroidered screen beside us, adding to the refined ambiance. The entire restaurant is decorated with extensive use of jade and features numerous art pieces for admiring. Ms. Yu, the tea sommelier, attended to us throughout our meal. From introducing the artwork and tea selections to providing personalized tea recommendations, her extensive knowledge of tea and detailed explanations of the art were truly admirable. Regarding the food, Ms. Yu was also extremely attentive. I personally do not eat beef or pork, and my elderly mother cannot eat hard rice due to her age. Ms. Yu thoughtfully communicated our dietary needs to the chef, and we are very grateful for the restaurant's accommodating approach. Lastly, we were also gifted rose-flavored mooncakes—a very thoughtful gesture. It's especially worth mentioning that Ms. Yu thoughtfully took an instant photo for us, complete with signatures from all the staff as a keepsake. We were truly touched by this delightful surprise. However, one suggestion would be to improve accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges. Currently, accessing the restaurant requires using the hotel’s internal service elevator, which is not very convenient. It would be great if this could be improved.

We booked a table for 4 at 6pm on a weekday and were seated by the window with harbour view. We pre-ordered the peking duck, and also some recommended dishes eg. soft shell crab, salmon fried rice and char siu. “Yu” kindly suggested getting smaller portions for some dishes since we ordered alot, which was very thoughtful. The food was great but what really stood out was the exceptional service. Yu, Neo, and Edmond made our dining experience memorable with their thoughtfulness and attention to detail. I would recommend lai ching heen and i would surely visit again.

So I finally checked out麗晶軒this fancy two-star Michelin Chinese spot I’ve been wanting to try. The food? Legit delicious- no surprise there. But the service? Meh. Felt like they were understaffed because the waiters were running around like crazy, and it was kinda hard to flag them down. Not super attentive, but at least they weren’t rude—just busy. Now, the **CRISPY PORK SKIN**—oh my god. Best thing ever. So crunchy, so perfectly seasoned, I could’ve eaten three plates of it. And the turnip cake? Insane. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, packed with flavor. 10/10 would order again (even if it hurt my wallet a little). Speaking of wallet… yeah, it’s expensive But the cool thing? Portions are adjustable! Love that—means I could try more dishes without over-ordering. Big win.
